STYLES TO SUIT ALL TASTES

TYPES OF TRENDS IN MODERN DECORATION

Necessity is the mother of invention.  This maxim has always accompanied humanity and continues to be absolutely valid.  Applied to modern decoration, it confirms that any deficiency, whether in space or in budget, alienates the imagination and, therefore, the most innovative and creative solutions.

From this starting point, we should see trends and new styles as tools, as channels for developing our creativity, unique, embodying our personality in all those environments that must reflect our way of understanding life.

Modern decoration as we understand it today is very wide-ranging and encompasses a great number of styles: ORGANIC MODERN, NEW TRADITIONAL, CLASSIC GLAM, HAPPY MODERN, DRAMATIC MODERN, WARM INDUSTRIAL, SIMPLE CHIC AND ECLECTIC COLLECTOR. Below we will explain the first 4, and we will go into the rest in the next post.

1 ORGANIC MODERN

Plants, wood, rocks, natural, organic fibres… a breath of fresh air for our home, Moreover, these elements allow us to add textures and colour, quite literally, in the most natural way as possible.

2. NEW TRADITIONAL

The new constructions can seem monotonous, without any special characteristic and with the normal finishes.  It is the floors, the picture windows and the decoration that make a home unique and special.  We play with mouldings and rose windows to spice up the most modern architecture.  Let us give a touch of distinction to the most cutting-edge structures with some detail from the past.  Let us combine modern and classic furniture, quality decorative elements with others that are more economical… variety – or more precisely, contrast – is the spice of life…

3. CLASSIC GLAM

The quickest way to achieve a glam style is to add striking spaces or colours to others – classic or modern – where neutral colours predominate.  A pink colour can provide warmth and joy to a room.  From this point, it will be our inspiration that dictates the final effect: we can add a touch of glam with a cushion, a cloth, a piece of furniture or an entire wall.  We can play with a pale pink, which transmits balance and calm, or strength and character by coming closer to the more daring lilacs or fuchsias.

4. HAPPY MODERN

The elegance of our home does not have to be at odds with joy, fun, or even some whim or extravagance that reflects the more amusing side of our personality.  A happy modern environment is a space that invites us to wake up every morning full of energy and a desire to take on the world.  A wide range of colours is an excellent start to create a happy modern: rugs, details, etc.
