Ceramic wood: imperishable nature

Already at the beginning of the last century, Antonio Gaudí announced that “the architect of the future will base his work on the imitation of nature, because it is the most rational, lasting and economical of all methods”. It is in nature where the most human environments are found, those that are most in accordance with our collective thought, with the feeling of well-being.

Nevertheless, nature is ephemeral. Natural products are designed to last temporarily. The good Lord made from nature the environment of life, but also disappearance, which can hardly successfully accompany the architectural requirements of surviving the passing of time.

This is why at Azteca Ceramica we have devoted our efforts to design and innovation in creating ceramic pieces that make possible Gaudi’s maxim, of introducing natural elements into our architecture, without losing the battle to time.

The Azteca collections of ceramic wood reproduce with near-perfect accuracy the finishes that nature offers, from sapellis, wengues, beeches or elders.

The new technologies have made it possible to create tiling which, to any demanding eye would not be distinguishable from conventional parquet. Floors made of porcelain tiles that offer the user hardness, strength and comfort.

And not only does the appearance verge on the perfection of the reflection of wood but also the feel and installation. Reliefs that recreate the grain of each natural species. Designs that are non-repetitive and with shade variation effects which transform each space into a unique place.

Versatility and personality

Azteca ceramic woods offer the prescriber a unique tool to satisfy the most demanding customers. The formats and new applications of this product can become not only traditional floor and interior tiling, but also unique outdoor pieces, gardens, along with swimming pools, headboards of bedrooms, or reproductions of old vintage kitchens, full of enchantment and traditional taste.

The limit is the imagination of the architect, as the collections offered by Azteca allow them to transform dwellings into homes, with a material like wood, which never goes out of style, but with the features of strength, easy maintenance, practicality and durability, of ceramics.

The alchemy is served; now our only wish is that the return to nature will be the line selected for your new projects in homes and buildings that want to have a personalized taste.
